About Cornerstone ReEntry Project

Our Story

Cornerstone ReEntry Project was created to fill a critical gap in the reentry process for young adults transitioning from juvenile justice involvement back into the community. Release is only the beginning — many young adults return home without structure, guidance, or the support needed to stabilize and move forward.

Cornerstone serves as the bridge between release and independence.

What began as a residential concept evolved into a structured day program after recognizing that many young adults need daily accountability, skill-building, mentoring, and mental health support within their community. Today, we provide gender-responsive services for young men and women ages 18–21, helping them rebuild confidence, responsibility, and direction.

Our Mission

To provide structured, gender-responsive reentry support for justice-involved young adults ages 18–21 through accountability, counseling, mentoring, and life skills development that promote stability and long-term success.

Our Vision

A community where young adults returning from justice involvement are supported, empowered, and equipped to build productive, independent lives.

Our Core Values

Structure. Accountability. Dignity. Restoration. Guidance.

We believe stability begins with routine, growth requires responsibility, and every young adult deserves the opportunity to redefine their future.

Founder

Cornerstone was founded by a behavioral health professional and educator with extensive experience working with justice-involved youth and young adults. Her background in mental health counseling and youth development informs the program’s trauma-informed, structured approach — blending accountability with compassion to help young adults move forward with purpose.
